Anahí Viladrich is a sociologist and medical anthropologist originally from Argentina. She received a PhD with Distinction in 2003, an MPhil in Sociomedical Sciences (Medical Anthropology) from Columbia University in 2000, and an MA with honors from the New School University in 1999.
Before joining Queens College, she was a tenured associate professor at Hunter College, where she directed the Immigration and Health Initiative, a program aimed at supporting research and education on immigrant health in the US and abroad.
Dr. Viladrich is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Sociology, with a courtesy appointment in Anthropology, at Queens College.
