Professor Viladrich's research covers a wide range of topics including immigrant health and health disparities, nostalgic foods, social networks and ethnic enclaves New York City (including the tango world), and ethnomedical health systems.
Anahi Viladrich's book More Than Two to Tango: Argentine Tango Immigrants in New York City (University of Arizona Press, 2013), was awarded an Honorable Mention Prize Award for the 2012-2014 ALLA Book Prize, Association of Latina and Latino Anthropologists, the American Anthropological Association.
